There's no account, no login, no ads running yet, and no analytics. If you email us, we have your email.

What we hold

• Your email address, if you sign up to hear when the shop opens.
• Stories and messages you send us.
• Ordinary server logs, kept a short time for security and fixing problems.

Stories you send

We keep what you send so we can edit and publish it. If we publish it, we strip out anything that could identify you or anyone else. Ask us to delete your submission at any time, published or not.

Advertising

No ads run on this site yet. When they do, here's what changes, and this section will be updated with the ad network's name before the first ad loads:

• The ad network will use cookies or similar technology in your browser to show ads, limit how often you see the same one, and measure whether ads work.
• Some ads may be personalised based on your activity on other sites. You'll be able to turn that off.
• Visitors in the UK, EU and Switzerland will be asked for consent before any of that happens.
• Where state law gives you the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for advertising, a link to do that will be on every page.

Analytics

None right now. When we add it, it'll be open-source software on our own server, without cookies and without storing your IP address, and it'll be named here.

Fonts

The typefaces are served from this site, so loading them doesn’t send your IP address to Google or any other font service.

Affiliate links and cookies

There are none today. If we ever link to another company's product for a commission, that company will usually drop a cookie in your browser when you click, so they know you came from us. It's their cookie, on their site, under their privacy policy. We can't read it, and we aren't told who you are, just that a sale happened. You can always go to their site directly instead. Same price.

The shop

When the store opens, orders, payment and shipping are handled by the store and print partner. We won't see your card number. Their privacy policy covers what you give them, and we'll link to it from the shop.

Your rights

Ask for a copy of what we have, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it. No reason needed.

Age

This site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18, and we don't publish stories from them.

Why we use your information

• Email list: only with your consent, when you sign up. You can withdraw it anytime with the unsubscribe link in any email.
• Emails you send us: to read and answer them, because you asked us to.
• Server logs: to keep the site secure and working, which is our legitimate interest.

How long we keep it

• Email list: until you unsubscribe.
• Emails you send us: only as long as we need to reply and follow up.
• Server logs: a short time set by our web host, then deleted.

Who else handles it

Only our web host and our email list provider, once the list is connected. They may process data in the United States or other countries, under their own privacy terms. We don't sell or share your personal information, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.

What you can ask for

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, delete or move your information, object to or limit how we use it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@pettyass.com and we’ll respond within one month. If you’re in the EU, the UK or Switzerland and you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We don’t track you across other websites, so every visit is treated the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
